About the Scholarship

 

Each year, The Carolyn Patrick Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a high school student who demonstrates exceptional talent, dedication, and potential in the performing arts. The recipient will receive a monetary award to assist in furthering their education and pursuing their artistic dreams.

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

 

    •    Enrollment: Currently enrolled as a high school student.

    •    Artistic Involvement: Must audition and actively participate in one of The Rice City Players productions.

    •    Academic Performance: A strong academic record.

    •    Personal Statement: Submission of a personal statement that highlights your passion for the arts and outlines your future goals.

Application Process

 

Interested students must first audition and be cast or participate in our upcoming production of Freaky Friday to be eligible. Any student who is cast or is willing to participate will be given the chance to apply. All applications will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of members from The Rice City Players’ board and staff. The committee will evaluate each submission based on merit, with the recipient being announced at the closing performance of Freaky Friday.​
